This workshop is designed to help interpreters
determine the combination of ASL that best conveys the rhymes, rhythms,
meanings and feelings of songs.
The instructor will demonstrate from first listen,
through determining meaning and finding ASL rhymes to match the rhythms,
how to translate a song. Then she will walk participants through the
same process with a second song. There will also be discussion of register
and sign selection to match the situation in which the song is being
performed.
The session will conclude with a question/answer
period.
